Having already had two children from my first marriage, 12-year-old Zuzia and 4-year-old Fanek, my second husband Piotr and I first decided to take care of Chime, a girl from Tibet. Her story is amazing, as an 11-year-old she left her family home and escaped through the Himalayas to India, where she went to school.
She was expelled from the school because she did not study well. For a little girl from Tibet, there are only two options in this situation - to become a prostitute or... a seamstress. Here another problem arose - Chime could not sew.
With help came her uncle the monk Ajama and the Sam Jub Ling Foundation, who decided to bring her to Poland at the invitation of the Bednarska School Complex in Warsaw. Our country already had her cousin Sonam, who had come in the same way only earlier.
