I present to you my book, "Survivors of Drohobych". - a story born from the power of my grandparents' memories, Sława and Izek Wołosiańskiwho hid 39 Jews in their basement during the darkest times of the Second World War.
"It's a story that reminds us that even in the most difficult of times, humanity and courage can be found to change the course of history."
Drohobych - a city engulfed in the fires of occupation, marked by death and suffering - became the backdrop for this extraordinary story of courage, sacrifice and unbreakable determination.
In the heart of a wartime hell, where daily threats to life offered no guarantee of survival, my grandparents created a safe haven that offered hope for almost two years to those whose lives seemed already taken.

In my book I have collected memoirs of Sława and accounts of Survivorsenriched with photographs and documents from the family archive. Each page pulses with emotion and reminds us that even in the most difficult moments, humanity can illuminate the darkness of history. In writing this story, I wanted to share with you not only the testimony of a bygone era, but also a reminder that strength of spirit and determination can change the course of events.
